Truck Dumps

Dry Fog at Rollover Rail-car Dumper

Truck and Loader Dumps can be a very significant source of dust. Often the location of the pocket is exposed to ambient wind that carries the dust generated from the dump into the air. DSI has experience that ranges from small front-end loader dumps to 120 ton Rail-Car Dumpers to 360 ton Haul Trucks dumping into Primary Gyratory Crushers. Our Comprehensive Approach often combines DustTamer™ Wind Screens with Dry Fog™ to maximize results.

You may have tried one of the following measures with little or no success:  (for complete comparisons go to Technology-Compared to)

Collecting dust from large open dump pockets is very difficult. Cost for collection systems can be Four Times More Expensive and still the user is faced with what to do with the collected dust.

Chemical systems require use of expensive chemicals and are not effective in removing dust from the air.

Water sprays can only effectively wet some of the material not the airborne dust. They create large water droplets that can freeze in wintertime operations in many regions.

Did you know that Dry Fog Systems can effectively capture airborne dust, returning it to the dump pocket, without wetting the material. Dry Fog will not freeze and can operate in temperatures as low as –35° F.
